The Fauquier Community Theatre has recently began a youth division of the theatre. We are planning exciting new youth classes, camps, and productions.
To be involved:
First, sign up for the FCT newsletter, called the Spotlight so you don’t miss any happenings at the theatre.
Second, sign up for the audition email loop, located on the audition tab of the home page.
Third, come to an audition, class or camp to familiarize yourself with FCT and perhaps you will be on stage for the next performance!
Miss Nelson is Missing
Directed by Evelyn Rice
Miss Nelson can’t control her crazy classroom because she’s just too nice. But when she disappears, her replacement is the hard-as-nails, detention-loving, recess-canceling, homework-overloading substitute teacher Viola Swamp! With the Big Test approaching, the kids suddenly realize how much they miss Miss Nelson and they’ll do anything — including hiring a private eye — to solve the mystery of her disappearance and bring her back.

Synopsis of The Rehearsal:
Directed by Evelyn Rice
A young teacher tries to pull off a production of Guys and Dolls, but putting a musical together is never easy, especially with a megalomaniacal stage manager, a lead who’s convinced that Wicked is a much better show, and a girl who is clinically incapable of following directions (she has a doctor’s note to prove it). And to make matters worse, there aren’t nearly enough guys to be the Guys. A hilarious and poignant look behind the scenes of a drama club production filled with — what else? — lots of drama.
Synopsis of Bang Bang You’re Dead:
Directed by Chaz D. Pando
Bang Bang You’re Dead is a one act play written by William Mastrosimone in 1999 to raise awareness of school violence and its causes. According to Mastrosimone, it “is a drama to be performed by kids, for kids” for free. The plot focuses on Josh, a high school student who murders his parents and five classmates. This is an outstanding, very serious, deep drama with very heart felt moments.
