Auditions for the World Premiere of “Tales of the Artisan” October 22, 2025
Casting Call! Ages 15 and up with many adult roles! Fauquier Community Theatre will be holding auditions for the world premiere musical “Tales of the Artisan” on Wednesday, October 22 from 6 pm to 9 pm. Pre-registration is required.

Synopsis! New! World Premiere! “Tales of the Artisan” is a new musical written and composed by the writing team of Matt Moore and Cate Murray. A heartwarming, gripping, sometimes whimsical but always moving story of a small Scots-Irish Gaelic family with a powerful secret fleeing political persecution in 1814 America, Tales of the Artisan transports the viewers to a secret world of magic, wonder and intrigue.
Part coming-of-age story, part action thriller and part homage to the incredible connection of family, the musical features an evolution of early American music, beginning with its roots in Scots-Irish culture and exploring aspects of early folk. The musical score is full of lush blends, big dance numbers, magic effects and features a small on-stage orchestra comprised of the primary characters.

See the Musical in May, 2026! Performances for “Tales of the Artisan” will take place on May 1 – 17, 2026. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 pm and Sunday matinees are at 2 pm. All performances will take place at the Vint Hill Theater on the Green, 4225 Aiken Drive, Warrenton, VA. Tickets are available to purchase from the home page of FCT’s website: www.FCTstage.org. All seats are for reserved seating.
