Brief Synopsis: Based on the famous Scopes Monkey Trial of 1925, in which a Tennessee schoolteacher was charged with violating state law by teaching about Darwin’s theory of evolution, INHERIT THE WIND fictionalizes the story in order to make a broader dramatic point about people having the freedom to think for themselves. The key courtroom conflict between Matthew Harrison Brady (representing 3-time Presidential candidate William Jennings Bryan) and Henry Drummond (representing famed attorney Clarence Darrow) is one of the most famous scenes in American drama. 

 

Roles: There are 21 roles to portray various adult ages, plus two roles to portray ages 12 -13.

JERSEY BOYS takes you behind the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons to discover the secret of a 40-year friendship as the foursome work their way from the streets of New Jersey to the heights of stardom. Electrifying performances of chart-topping hits including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “Dawn,” and “My Eyes Adored You,” which brought The Four Seasons the highest honor: induction into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame.

Fauquier Community Theatre’s producton of JERSEY BOYS is directed by Matt Moore with orchestra director Cathy Drummond, vocal director Cate Murray, choreographer Gabrielle Tessier, lighting designer Dan Martin, and producter Mary Beth Balint. The production is by special arrangement with Theatrical Rights Worldwide. (This production has modification and elimination of certain profane language.)
