Lofty Award Winners ~ 2018-2019

~The goal of the Lofty Awards is to promote excellence in all phases and facets of dramatic production. We hope to raise the bar by recognizing and rewarding excellence, and in so doing, generate enthusiasm among cast & crew, and the play-going community.~

The Lofty Awards gained its name from the first venue that FCT performed at, which was called The Loft.

For the first time in the history of the FCT Lofty awards, a new category has been entered. The Lofty committee felt that this new category (Supporting Actress/ Actor) would help give additional recognition to some highly talented Actors/Actresses as well as help all character roles fit more appropriately into the specific categories. Please see below the new and improved 2018-2019 FCT Lofty Nominations. Winners will be announced at the Annual Member Banquet on June 9, 2019.

Grace Lehmann – Notable Newcomer, Hilary Pierce – Supporting Actress, Ivy Elizabeth – Dialect Coach, Timothy Burhouse – Sheer Entertainment

Starting this award season, 2018-2019, FCT has assembled an expanded panel of judges from a range of demographics and with strong theatre experience. They attended each of the five FCT main stage shows this season, and independently and individually scored 18 technical and overall categories, plus each of the Lead, Featured and Cameo actors/actresses. These scores were recorded and averaged. In addition, a baseline scoring continuum was developed for each judge, therefore creating consistency in the judging process. All categories without specific listed nominations are categories where every play and musical of the current season has the potential to win the award. See the following categories below.
